Hallee has been teaching the Pilates Method since 2001. After her first mat class she instantly became hooked, and just as Joseph Pilates guaranteed, saw changes in her body in just ten private sessions. She was driven to learn more, and quickly became inspired to teach others to better understand their body’s boundaries and intensify their workouts while staying pain-free. Certified by Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates’ protégé, Hallee furthers her education by taking weekly sessions and continuing education courses taught by industry leaders.
Hallee is also a MELT Master Trainer and co-creator of MELTed Pilates : a revolutionary approach that focuses on rebalancing the nervous system and hydrating connective tissue, resulting in greater overall performance of the body. Hallee has presented her curriculum at the annual Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) conference, Balanced Body’s Pilates on Tour (POT), and on Pilates Anytime . Most recently, Hallee became the first guest instructor to create an 8-week collection on MELT on Demand. Hallee continues to evolve the MELTed Pilates curriculum and offers teacher trainings through the MELT Method.
Hallee graduated summa cum laude from Emory University and co-authored an internationally renowned psychological test of nonverbal communication with her mentor Stephen Nowicki. In 2003 she earned a Master’s degree in Dance Education from NYU. Prior to opening Candlestick Pilates, she worked as a creative movement teacher and social skills educator. She currently lives in Westport, CT with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs. Hallee is also available for private sessions in Westport.
