Candlestick Pilates Reopening Safety Guidelines
Forms: In addition to our standard liability waiver, you must complete a one-time
COVID waiver (click to complete ahead of time).
A daily Covid-19 screening, including temperature check, is required upon arrival. We have printed forms, but prefer you to complete this digitally on your smartphone.
PPE: Masks (without filters) are required to enter, and for the duration of your session. Your instructors will be in masks and have the additional option of wearing gloves and a face shield. You will be asked to wash your hands before your session and perhaps between apparatus. The apparatus are covered in yoga mats to protect the vinyl from the medical grade cleaners.
You will be required to purchase a $5 Candlestick Covid Safety Bag at your first visit. These include grippers cut to size for your hands (on handles or poles) and one for your head (to cover pillows). You are welcome to bring your own towel if you prefer. You can find your existing studio socks and add them to your bag*. We will no longer store socks at the studio as they need to be washed between visits.
You will bring this bag to every session (and we recommend packing a water bottle too).
*If you would like to add some SWAG to your bag, we can add socks, tanks, tees or hoodies for an additional charge. I am working with the sock manufacturer on grippy gloves- stay tuned for more details!

ARRIVALS/DEPARTURES: Our studio door will be locked and you will be buzzed in at the time of your session. Please do not arrive more than 2 minutes ahead of schedule as you will be waiting on the stoop. The total session time will be 55 minutes (5 minute intake & hand washing, 45 min lesson, 5 minutes to leave and 5 minute instructor mask break)
SCHEDULING: All scheduling and payments will be handled remotely. The instructors are strictly responsible for teaching and sanitizing and are not allowed to take any notes regarding scheduling. I will be managing the studio remotely and appreciate your patience and understanding as I am also parenting two school-aged children and teaching virtually. I apologize ahead of time for any oversights…as they will happen!
CANCELLATION POLICIES: Any client who arrives 10 minutes or later after their session time, will not be buzzed in. If you anticipate being late, please move your session to zoom. If you move your session to zoom the day before, you will be charged the virtual private session rate ($95), if you late cancel within 24 hours or move your session to zoom on the same day, you will be charged the in-studio private session rate ($105). Thank you for understanding that we are very limited by occupancy, instructor availability, and contact tracing rules.
If your late cancellation is health related, or if you do not pass the temperature screening, we will reverse the charge but require you stay out of the studio for 14 days per New York State guidelines. If well enough, you may join us virtually during that time.
It is all A LOT, and as restrictions in NYC are lifted, we will re-evaluate these policies. Please understand that our limited flexibility allows for the safest environment for you and staff.
We will all adjust, and getting back onto the reformer will be totally worth it!
